Hello, this is M, the concept-cafe writer!
For the second installment of the @home cafe feature, this time it's the Akihabara Main Store 3rd Floor, a 5-minute walk from the AKIBA Cultures ZONE store introduced last time. You see, here an entire building in Akihabara is all @home cafe shops. From the third floor to the seventh floor, the shops are divided by floor as the 3rd Floor Store through 7th Floor Store.
From the very first floor, they're fully intent on entertaining you, with a cute object like this. It's cute, sure, but what even is this? It kind of looks like a maid outfit... but maybe it's a cake after all? Why a cake...?
Being the main store, you can even check how crowded the other shops are (the AKIBA Cultures ZONE store and the Donki store). At first I went to the 4th-floor shop, but lots of people were lined up, so I went down one floor by stairs to the 3rd Floor Store. The third floor was crowded, but people could still be let in, so they let me in.
What I'd order this time was already decided when I went to the ZONE store last time: a maid's original cocktail. I mean, I'd just eaten a parfait at the previous shop and gotten full, and the menu was really pushing it hard. Wondering why, when I ordered, they were a bit surprised: "Alcohol?!" There was "Furi-furi Shaka-shaka♪ Mix Juice" on the menu, and that one was apparently a normal juice. They asked how strong I wanted the alcohol, and I answered strong.
"Then, please do the magic spell together with me." ...Here it comes. "When I say 'furi-furi' (shake-shake), Master, you say 'furi-furi' too, okay?" Actually, the magic spell "oishiku naare, moe moe kyun" existed at the ZONE store last time too, but this was a power-up version. "Master, which do you like better, dogs or cats?" "Dogs." "Then let's put in dogs too." Maid: "Furi-furi." M: "Furi-furi." Maid: "Shaka-shaka." M: "Shaka-shaka." Maid: "Wan-wan (woof-woof)." M: "Wan-wan." Maid: "Nyan-nyan (meow-meow)." M: "(Huh?! If you're putting in a cat, why did you ask?) N-nyan-nyan." Maid: "Okay, it's done~." Feeling a little apologetic, wondering if this maid was actually a cat lover, the story moves on.
"This cocktail is made with magic water and changes color each time. What color do you think it is, Master?" A bit surprised. Magic water? On the menu it was light blue, so I answered light blue. "Light blue, huh... the correct answer is~..." It was red. It was delicious, and after drinking a bit I realized I hadn't taken a photo, so I hurriedly took one.
